The Comox Valley Airport Commission (CVAC), a dynamic and team oriented organization that operates, manages and develops the Comox Valley Airport (YQQ) is currently seeking a:
Manager, Marketing and Public Communications
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will implement and manage the Comox Valley Airport’s strategic marketing plan. You will also develop and carry out marketing campaigns to promote CVAC and its air carrier partners. You will develop and implement communication strategies and information programs, publicize activities/events, and maintain media relations. You will also develop, implement and monitor the airport’s social media strategy. This position will require occasional travel in North America.
To be successful in this position, you must have a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or related field with a marketing specialization or an equivalent combination of experience and training in a related field with a marketing specialization. You must have a minimum of 5 years/experience in marketing, communications, public relations or advertising.
You are energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated and a team player. You possess superior written, oral and visual communication skills and are capable of working independently as well as part of the team. Experience in the aviation industry would be an asset.
