Pacific Rim College
Volunteer Photographer & Content Creator
Time Commitment: Approximately 2–6 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
About the Opportunity
We are a small private health college dedicated to inspiring the next generation of health professionals. We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Volunteer Photographer & Content Creator to help capture the vibrant life of our campus. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging photographer, photography student, or creative professional looking to expand their portfolio while gaining experience working with an educational institution.
Responsibilities
The successful volunteer may assist with:
•Photographing campus life, classes, events, and workshops
•Capturing professional images of students, faculty, and clinical learning experiences (with appropriate consent)
•Taking lifestyle and promotional photographs for marketing materials
•Photographing herbal products, classrooms, campus spaces, and educational resources
•Editing and organizing digital photo collections
•Assisting with content creation for social media, the website, and promotional campaigns
•Collaborating with staff on creative storytelling and visual branding
•Providing occasional photography coverage for special events and community outreach activities
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
•Has an interest in photography, visual storytelling, or digital media
•Owns or has access to a camera suitable for high-quality photography
•Has basic photo editing skills using software such as Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar programs
•Is creative, reliable, and organized
•Enjoys working with people in a professional environment
•Can work independently and meet agreed-upon deadlines
Formal education in photography is not required. We welcome hobbyists, students, and emerging professionals with a passion for creating beautiful images.

Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame
Director, Communications & Marketing
The Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame is a volunteer run, registered non-profit organization that has been recognizing and celebrating achievements in and contributions to sport in the Greater Victoria region since 1991.
With regular 1.5hr monthly meetings & seasonal project work, the position below is open on the Hall's operational Board:
This role takes the lead in the overall promotion and marketing of the GVSHoF. With the assistance of a Director at Large, you direct and support the promotional communications of the Board via its website, mailing list, media contacts and social media (currently Facebook & YouTube). Particular focus is given to the annual Induction Dinner & Ceremony, the Board's fundraising efforts and scholarship awards, and occasional special events. Leading a website update would also be a key component for this Director.
Term duration is typically three (3) years
