This year's AGM will follow a new format and will be provided online to allow more of our members the opportunity to attend.


The event will start with chapter business and then our speaker, Liv Hung, MCM, APR, MCPRS, will discuss her research exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping the economic, social, and legal landscape. She will discuss how strategic communicators have a clear opportunity - and practical pathway - to step into AI leadership by helping organizations balance innovation, risk, ethics, and trust.

About our Speaker: Liv Hung, MCM, APR, MCPRS, is a strategic communications leader and AI researcher dedicated to helping organizations innovate responsibly and build trust in the age of AI. Her McMaster University capstone explores how PR professionals can step up as leaders amid AI-driven economic, social, and legal change, focusing on ethics, governance, and managing organizational risk.


Known for turning data and creativity into clear, impactful strategies, Liv connects diverse stakeholders - from executives to journalists and creatives - often serving as a trusted advisor. A pro-human technologist and digital native, she guides PR professionals through the challenges of digital transformation and AI leadership.


With roots in Vancouver Island’s West Coast, Liv finds balance and resilience surfing in Tofino bringing the ocean’s rhythm of adaptability and confidence to her leadership style.
